Usage and Strategy

For the usage, you can choose between:
  • Standard span
  • Overlap
  • Insulated overlap
  • Switch

The application area is the basis for the calculation routines. The parameter will be defined in the process data. Amongst other things the stagger depends on the application field.

In the combo box you can alternatively choose the points no corresponding fixed support outside and fixed support inside.

If there is a regular touched support and a lifted support at a double support point, one support could have the flag touched support outside, and the other could have the flag touched support inside.

With the optimization Sicat Master will adjust the stagger, so that the absolute value of the stagger at the touched support is bigger than the stagger at the uplifted support.

Type of Support

Indicate whether the support point is standard, pulled up, or lifted.

Standard

This is a support point, where the contact wire will abut to the pantograph, during the passing of the pantograph. The contact wire is defined at the given height.

Lifted

The contact wire will be uplifted in the area of switches or in the area of overlapping and insulated overlapping.

Not Touched

The contact wire will be lifted up, so that a touching of the support point is not possible for the pantograph. The contact wire will be fixed directly at the registration arm, not at the steady arm.

If the checkbox Midpoint is activated, Sicat Master will create the support point as a midpoint . Between the support point and the neighbour poles a fix point anchor rope will be drawn. For each neighbour, a backstay anchor will be added.

Note: In cross spans, except cantilevers, and in tunnels, a midpoint must be created with the Create Rope function.

Information

The Information button allows you to indicate data to radii, catenary termination and midpoints.
